Formed in 2021, the acclaimed Alma Moodie Quartet takes its name from a Queensland-born violinist who, despite an acclaimed reputation in Europe between the wars, has been largely forgotten. They have since performed across Australia including at the Sydney Opera House. In particular they are known for championing lesser known works from the first part of the 20th-century, newly realised and rendered through their exceptionally fine playing. Following their North Shore debut last season, Hayes Street Studio will be presenting them in two all new programs this October.
